After Martin Scorsese’s latest film, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, its starry cast — including Leonardo DiCaprio — partied privately at a historic local chateau.
Page Six hears the bash was at Château de la Croix des Gardes, which served as a location in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1955 classic“To Catch a Thief,” starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly.
The $100 million property overlooking the sea was owned by late Perrier chairman, Gustave Leven.
The Apple TV+ movie also stars Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons, who attended the party with his wife, Kirsten Dunst.
A guest tells us they spotted Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and his partner Lauren Sanchez chatting up Apple boss Tim Cook at the celebration for the film.
The power duo were also spotted talking with actor John C. Reilly, who is in Cannes to serve as the head of the festival’s jury for its “Un Certain Regard” section.
DiCaprio was holding court at the chateau party. “It was like the real life ‘Great Gatsby,’” a source told us. “Leo was commanding the room, looking very sharp in his tux.”
Dunst was seen “being very supportive of Jesse… they were in great spirits, toasting with all the guests who were congratulating him.” We exclusively reported that they married in 2022, after six years as a couple.
As for the general vibe: “The party was at a crazy estate,” says the source. “It was very, very elegant.”
“It started pouring rain at the end,” the insider added. “They had golf carts and white glove umbrella service escorting everyone in and out of their cars right to the mansion.”
Of course there was also a VIP after-party. We hear that DiCaprio’s bestie, hospitality guru Richie Akiva, threw a late night rager at restaurant Luigi on Cannes’ Le Croisette.
DiCaprio was at the hotspot with his usual posse of pals, including Lukas Haas and Tobey Maguire. Earlier in the week, DiCaprio and his crew were spotted at the famed Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc.
For the Scosese film’s premiere, Cate Blanchett, model Izabel Goulart, Paul Dano, Salma Hayek, Isabelle Huppert, Princess Caroline of Monaco, Irina Shayk and DiCaprio’s ex, Toni Garrn, all walked the red carpet.
The new movie is based on a 2017 nonfiction book, “Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI,” and follows the infamous 1920 murders of members of the Osage Nation after oil was discovered on their land.
