Hoda Kotb remains fully invested in ‘Today’ show, insider reveals

Even though her daughter is still sick, Hoda Kotb is not taking a break from work. Even though there have been rumours that the ‘Today’ anchor ‘has been reorganising her approach to work’ to be a more ‘hands-on’ mum, a person close to the show said that Kotb isn’t taking on less work.

“This is not true at all,” a source tells Page Six in an exclusive interview. Another story says that she was in New Orleans for an event with Hoda and Jenna Bush Hager. The explanation comes after Kotb missed almost three weeks of her NBC morning show because her three-year-old daughter Hope was in the hospital.

People were confused at first when Kotb went missing, but she later told them that Hope “was in the ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little more than a week.” Hope hasn’t said what’s wrong with her, but the 58-year-old singer recently said that she’s “getting better.”

This week, Kotb said on the “Biscuits & Jam” show from Southern Living, “To watch her go through a hard time at just 3 years old is really hard for any parent because you can’t help her.” “But I don’t think you know how strong and resilient she is.”

I think that you can learn lessons from life in the strangest places. Even though Kotb, who has a 6-year-old daughter named Haley, was a worried wreck during the whole thing, Haley was able to see the bright side. During their time in the hospital, Hope told her, “I think God put me here to teach people something.”

“‘What?’ I asked.””What?’ ‘Yeah, I think I was meant to teach people things because I have a pretty big brain,’ she said. She said, “It’s like, [we] learn from our children!”

And all we have to do is show them what to do; we don’t have to teach them anything. Just be yourself and learn from other people.” Kotb and her ex-husband Joel Schiffman took Haley and Hope in as their own children in 2017 and two years later, respectively. In 2022, after being together for eight years, the pair split up.
